About the Pomperaug Soccer Club

Organization

Pomperaug Soccer Club is an independent all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting soccer for children of all ages in Middlebury and Southbury. We are always looking for more volunteers in many areas, and you don't have to coach to volunteer!

Purpose

1) To provide an opportunity for the youth of Middlebury and Southbury to play soccer.  Everyone who wishes to play may do so, and it is the goal of the program to provide each player with the opportunity to play at his or her competitive level.

2) To expand the education of players, referees, and coaches and maximize the enjoyment of the game for all.

3) To teach and promote good sportsmanship at all times.

Membership

Pomperaug Soccer Club belongs to the Northwest District of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association.

About our Programs

Pomperaug Soccer Club has programs from U4 to U15. We run both Fall and Spring seasons with In-House and Travel teams.  "In-house" means that we play within the town, dividing all players into relatively equal teams that play each other. "Travel" means we divide into teams designated as A, B, or balanced and play teams from other towns.  Currently our In-House program represents the younger ages, U4 - U8 and all older ages, U9-U15 are travel teams.  See the different age group descriptions on the Programs tab for more detail.
